Abstract
This community study evaluates EcoClean Environment's waste pre-collection programme in Yaoundé III from 2016 to 2020. The intervention combined household participation, awareness activities, collection points, sorting and recycling. The reported outcomes include reduced uncollected waste, cleaner green spaces and waterways, fewer sanitation-related health problems, and local employment and business creation. The findings support pre-collection and waste valorization as practical components of a circular-economy strategy for sustainable urban development.
